Position Overview: As a Tax Consultant Associate, you will play a key role in preparing and reviewing tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients. Your insights and strategic advice will help clients navigate tax implications effectively while enhancing their overall tax functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate as part of a team to review and implement effective tax strategies, ensuring compliance while maximizing post-tax profits for both corporate and individual clients.
  • Independently prepare tax returns and working papers for various entities, including corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and non-profits across multiple sectors.
  • Assist with ad hoc tax-related projects, enhancing your practical experience.
  • Analyze data, address complex tax issues, and respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities efficiently.
  • Guide and mentor Tax Interns with the preparation and scanning of tax returns, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Provide timely responses to client communications and inquiries with a solutions-driven mindset.
  • Ensure deliverables meet client expectations and are submitted within required timelines.
  • Identify opportunities for introducing additional services based on client needs and expectations.
  • Stay updated on local and national economic trends and business developments affecting taxation.
  • Engage in continuous learning to enhance your technical expertise in tax regulations and practices.
  • Work closely with leadership to discover efficiencies and enhance engagement management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 150 credit hours and a minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • Currently pursuing CPA licensure, or already obtained.

Essential Functions:

  • Engage in various manual tasks requiring focus, communication, and mobility.
  • Ability to stay stationary as required and occasionally move around to client sites.
  • Vision abilities including close and distance vision adjustments.
  • Comfortable using office equipment such as computers, printers, and calculators.
  • Interact with internal teams and external clients in a professional manner.
  • Capability to lift/carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Willingness to work outside of standard hours as needed, including potential overnight travel.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing responsibilities as assigned.
