Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A professional opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to serve K-12 students in a self-contained classroom setting near Minneapolis, MN. This contract position provides an engaging and supportive learning environment for 6-8 students with diverse educational needs, focusing on individualized instruction and skill development.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering tailored instruction to K-12 students in a self-contained special education classroom
• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student assessments
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff to optimize student outcomes
• Monitoring and documenting student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
• Managing classroom behavior and creating a positive, inclusive educational atmosphere

Qualifications:

• Valid Tier 3 or Tier 4 license in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD)
• Experience working with K-12 students in special education, specifically in self-contained classroom settings
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and instructional strategies
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and demonstrate flexibility adapting to student needs

• Location: Multiple sites near Minneapolis, MN
• Contract duration: Immediate start through June 2, 2026
• Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
• Caseload: 6-8 students per self-contained classroom
