The full potential of quantum computing will be unlocked with a large-scale computer capable of complex, error-corrected computations. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more aboutbenefits at Google ( . **Responsibilities** + Work on Electromagnetic Modeling (EM) of superconducting chips and packaging for new flagship and testbed designs. Apply the results of EM simulations for predicting fidelities of quantum gates. + Analyze coupling between different elements of the quantum circuit through the analysis of chip modes and packaging modes affected by the chip structures. Work on numerical analysis using High Frequency Structural Simulator (HFSS) and other EM simulators. + Analyze surface loss contributions to the qubit T1 budget through the development and maintenance of software, and the connection of EM simulations to the design workflow. + Collaborate with teams focused on design and fabrication using theoretical analysis to improve qubit coherence and gate operations.
