Job Title: Print Estimator

Classification: Full-Time, hourly non-exempt


Pay Range: Dependent on relevant experience

Reports to: Estimating Manager

Schedule: Office Hours are 8am-5pm

Location: On Site, 5000 N Basin Ave., Portland, OR 97217

General Summary

The Print Estimator is an essential part of the Premier Press team by partnering with sales and project managers to develop job quotes that incorporate the cost of materials, outside services, and production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop accurate product estimates and pricing by entering customer, sales or creative supplied specifications into estimating program (iQuote) and determining the appropriate production centers required.
  • Evaluating all methods of production for price and efficiency.
  • Provide suggestions to improve product quality, efficiency and cost savings for our clients.
  • Compare job cost estimates to final pricing to enhance future estimates.
Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of print and packaging manufacturing preferred.
  • Prior work history or secondary education in print, graphic or related industry preferred
  • Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with computers.
  • Strong math aptitude.
  • Strong time management, critical thinking, monitoring, organization, coordination, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work collectively and in a team environment. Ability to meet deadlines consistently.

Supervisory Responsibility : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment: This job operates in a processional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
