Role Overview:

Sodexo  is seeking an Executive Chef for Northern Arizona University  located in  Flagstaff, AZ . The Executive Chef will oversee the culinary operations of a full service casual restaurant on the edge of campus serving the campus community as well as the Flagstaff community.  Intention is to be accesssible to students as well as a viable dining experience for Flagstqaff locals and visitors.  The restaurant team is an important part of the entire campus dining team.  Northern Arizona University is a medium sized public university with large residential population.  Campus does have HRM program.  Restaurant catering is growing as well as the reputation of the restaurant itself.  Currently holds the best restaurant chili in Flagstaff trophy! 

What You'll Do:
  • manage restaurant culinary operations - averaging 125-200 covers per day
  • ensure Customer & Client satisfaction
  • Manages food & physical safety program
  • responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
  • develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations; and
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
